Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

Prefer high school diploma or general education degree (GED). Prefer completion of refrigeration apprenticeship and a minimum of two (2) years experience in maintenance and repair of Heating Ventilation Air Condition (HVAC) systems. Demonstrated knowledge of the functions and maintenance requirements of chilled water systems, cooling towers, boilers, fan coils, packaged units and heat pumps.

Director of Support Services

 

JOB GOAL:

Perform a variety of skilled tasks in the maintenance trades for the repair and improvement of District facilities with emphasis on the maintenance and repair of HVAC equipment and electrical systems.

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITES:

  1. Performs routine maintenance and repair of district building systems including HVAC and Low-temp refrigeration equipment, electrical, plumbing and designated special systems.
  2. Provides guidance and training to site-based maintenance staff in the performance of minor maintenance and repair of HVAC, electrical and plumbing fixtures and equipment.
  3. Performs renovation/construction projects as needed.
  4. Performs and maintain records of routine preventative maintenance tasks according to the District’s School Facility Board Preventative Maintenance Plan.
  5. Attends necessary meetings and trainings related to the position.
  6. Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
  7. Accepts direction and training from Maintenance Worker III, HVAC/Electrical
  8. Performs other job duties as assigned.

  1. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software, district approved work order software, and Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, and other appropriate technology software).
  2. Knowledge of appropriate business machines and telephones.
  3. Monitor special system(s) including, but not limited to, including security and fire alarm systems.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  1. Twelve-month, employee pay and benefits in accordance with Board policy.
  2. FLSA: Non-Exempt
  3. Full Time Employee Benefits: in accordance with Board policy.

EVALUATION: 

  1. Performance to be evaluated in accordance with the Board policy on evaluation of support personnel.
